MHL LAUNCHES EXPERIENCE PARTNER PROGRAM TO PROMOTE HD MOBILE CONNECTIVITY
Initial Partners Include SEGA, PowerA, Nyko, MobiSystems, Green Throttle and FilmOn.TV

SUNNYVALE, Calif., — August 6, 2013 — MHL, LLC has launched the MHL® Experience program, bringing together a diverse ecosystem of leading technology partners collectively dedicated to delivering and promoting the ultimate high-definition (HD) mobile experience. The program encourages people to use MHL technology through compelling games, content, applications, and accessories. The MHL Experience program is designed to drive awareness, create demand and educate global consumers on the ability to expand their mobile lifestyles by connecting MHL-enabled mobile devices to larger displays through a robust consumer awareness campaign.

The program highlights Experience Partners’ offerings from SEGA, PowerA, Nyko, MobiSystems, Green Throttle and FilmOn.TV. More companies will be invited to join in the near future. The Program also showcases MHL technology’s ease of use and underscores how consumers are using MHL-enabled devices to deliver HD mobile content to big screen TVs and displays. Elements of the program include a variety of marketing activities including Web, tradeshows, social media, media and PR activities, in-store education and more.

The MHL Experience Program is extending invitations to innovative companies focused on:

• Content creation
• Video services
• Developing mobile games and applications
• Manufacturing TV and mobile accessories

“Exciting content and accessories created by our Experience Program members are driving new activities from a mobile phone to the big screen, transforming your Android smartphone into a set-top box, game console, and PC,” said Judy Chen, president, MHL, LLC. “We are working closely with our Experience Partners to create MHL-based experiential offerings aimed at differentiating our partners’ products, enhancing their solutions and driving consumers to use their smartphones in new and compelling ways.”

Founded by Nokia, Samsung, Silicon Image, Sony and Toshiba, the MHL Consortium’s goal is to establish the technology as the de facto standard of choice for audio / video connectivity for mobile devices. Up to 1080p60 uncompressed video and eight channels of digital audio are delivered, while providing power to the mobile device. Not only can consumers connect their MHL-enabled devices to larger screens to watch HD videos, play video games or make presentations, but they can now access all of their content from the road.
